I am currently a legislative correspondent for Senator David Perdue (R-GA) and have been in the senator’s official office since January 2015. In this capacity, I cover agriculture, energy, natural resources, forestry, and environment issues.

Before this role, I served as Senator Perdue’s Metro Atlanta field representative and worked on Senator Perdue’s campaign as the deputy state field director. I also have experience in the United States House of Representatives, higher education government relations, and political fundraising.

I graduated from UGA in May 2011 with degrees in International Affairs and History. In Fall 2011, I moved to Bologna, Italy to begin my Masters program in International Affairs and International Economics at Johns Hopkins SAIS. In the summer of 2012, I interned with the State Department in Taipei, Taiwan at the American Institute in Taiwan. I then moved to Washington D.C. where I completed my SAIS Masters Degree in May 2013. In July 2013, I joined the Foreign Service and until July 2014, I will be in language and job training in Washington D.C. I will move to Hyderabad, India starting July 2014 until July 2016. After that, who knows where I will be posted next!

I am a Political Science and International Affairs graduate from the School of Public and International Affairs. I was given the opportunity the fall of my senior year to be the National Security and Foreign Policy Fellow for Senator Chambliss. Two years after graduation I am back in Athens, married to a great man, leading my sorority alumnae chapter, and working at a law firm.
