DC Semester: Fall 2012
School: UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, UGA School of Public and International Affairs
Type of Internship: Nonprofit Organization, Political Advocacy

I am currently an International Affairs and Romance Languages student at UGA. I’m finishing up my final term, and I will graduate this Spring, at which point I hope to return to DC. While in the WSP, I interned at the Washington Office on Latin America, a non-profit that focuses on human rights issues in Latin America.

DC Semester: Spring 2011
School: Georgia Tech
Type of Internship: Nonprofit Organization

As a student from Georgia Tech, I was a bit of an unlikely person to attend the Washington Semester Program. I am happy to say that my time with 19 bulldogs was well spent. The program provided such hands on experience that is truly irreplaceable, and my subsequent internships and careers would not have happened without it.

DC Semester: Spring 2012
School: UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, UGA School of Public and International Affairs
Type of Internship: Governmental Agency, Nonprofit Organization

I am a Biology & International Affairs major at the University of Georgia. I am pre-med and will be applying to medical school. I participated in the program during Spring 2012 and interned at the State Department in the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and at the American Institute for Cancer Research. I somehow ended up with two internships which was interesting to say the least. My career interests center around global health and health policy.
