DC Semester: Spring 2015
School: UGA Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication
Type of Internship: Advertising/Public Relations

My name is Madeline Hawkins and I will be graduating from the University of Georgia in August 2016, earning a degree in public relations with minors in art history and human development. Apart from a deep love for all things Athens, I am passionate about infusing visual arts and community outreach in my future profession. Here on campus, I am involved in UGA Miracle, Crosstrainers, Public Relations Student Society of America and my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. In my spare time you can find me at my favorite coffee shop, Hendershots, or exploring 5 points with friends.

School: UGA Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication
Type of Internship: Governmental Agency, Journalism/Media

I am a 3rd year, Honors student from Lithonia, GA. I’m heavily involved in on-campus organizations and in the community—holding positions as Assistant Director of Communication for Student Government Association, Treasurer of the Collegetown Gospel Choir, a B.E.S.T. Mentor, and I serve on the Programming Committee for the Honors Program Student Council. I’m currently interning with Watershed UGA as a Campaign and Communications intern and as a Studio Intern for the Ryan Seacrest Studios at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In my spare time, I enjoy singing with groups from my home church and spending quality time with family and friends. I’m striving to become a broadcaster and have hopes of hosting my own television show in the near future.
