David Perdue is the junior Senator from Georgia. With over 40 years of business experience as the former CEO of Reebok and Dollar General, Senator Perdue created quality jobs and helped working families. In 2014, Senator Perdue was elected to the U.S. Senate despite having never before been elected to office. For the 114th Congress, David serves on the Agriculture Committee; Budget Committee; Foreign Relations Committee; Judiciary Committee; and the Special Committee on Aging. He also serves as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on the State Department and USAID Management as well as the Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Forestry and Natural Resources.

I am a native of Athens and graduated from Clarke Central before beginning my time at UGA. In addition to the Washington Semester Program, I was involved on-campus in both Beta Upsilon Chi and Georgia Political Review. I have been involved off-campus with local churches, the YMCA and Circle of Friends Animal Society. I’ll be completing my course of study in Summer 2017.
