Senator Kay Hagan represented North Carolina from 2009 to 2015 in the United States Senate. Senator Hagan served on the Senate Armed Services, the Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs, the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), and the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committees. As a former U.S. Senate intern herself, Senator Hagan recognized the opportunities internships provide, and therefore offered internships to students each semester.

Senator Kay Hagan left office in 2015.

Type of Internship: Congressional Office

I am from Tyrone, GA and attended UGA from 2007-2011. While at UGA, I earned a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs. Highlights of my college experience include interning in UGA’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions and also on the Hill for Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC). After graduation, I joined Wildfire Interactive, a social media marketing software startup in Silicon Valley. In July 2012, we were acquired by Google and I officially became a Googler focusing on recruiting and staffing efforts.
