Each Washington Semester Program participant will work at least 30 hours per week at an internship site. Each student, in consultation with the Program Director, selects and applies to internships based on their interests, skills and abilities.
Participants must enroll in at least 12 credit hours. In Washington, you will attend two courses: (1) a traditional course taught by UGA faculty and (2) the Washington Seminar (WASH 3400) which will be taught by a variety of guest speakers, both in- and outside of the beltway. In addition to these two courses, students will enroll in internship and/or directed study courses in their respective majors to ensure enrollment in at least 12 credit hours.
