DC Semester Q and A

Kevin G Frisch
Spring 2009

Brief bio:

I am curently a third-year student at American University’s Washington College of Law. I work part time as a research assistant in the law school’s General Practice Legal Clinic and as a legal intern at the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation.

Expected graduation:

May 2010

Degree objective:

BA, Political Science and International Affairs

Why I went:

I wanted to pursue experiential learning opportunities in order to develop marketable skills. Ths DC Semester Program provided an opportunity to do substantive work with nationally recognized organizations that weren’t available in Athens or Atlanta.

Favorite spot to visit:

I enjoyed spending Friday mornings in the Eastern Market area, getting a nice breakfast and passing the time researching or reading for pleasure.

Most memorable day:

In the first few weeks of my internship, I found myself face to face with John Kerry, Howard Dean, and Wangari Maathai. It is difficult to select a “most memorable day,” as so many days were remarkable.

Why I'm glad I went:

The personal and professional connections I developed while I was involved in the program continue to manifest in positive ways.

Where I interned:

Glover Park Group
