Type of Internship: Think Tank

I grew up in Milton, GA and attended the University of Georgia for my undergraduate studies. After earning bachelor’s degrees in political science and international affairs, I enrolled in the University of Georgia’s Masters in Public Administration (MPA) program. I am currently a graduate student in this program while also working as campaign manager for Dr. Jody Hice’s congressional campaign.

DC Semester: Spring 2016
School: UGA College of Public Health, UGA School of Public and International Affairs
Type of Internship: Nonprofit Organization, Political Advocacy, Think Tank

I interned at the Center for American Progress (CAP) in Washington D.C. for the first half of this year. CAP is a progressive think tank that produces policy and advocacy. I worked with the Women’s Initiative team, where I did research and note taking for D.C.’s feminist experts (badasses/Michelle Obama’s friends). I watched and learned from some of the most essential movers and shakers of women’s economic and health policy.
