DC Semester Q and A

The DC Semester gave me a great networking opportunity with like-minded people from around the country.

Brief bio:

I grew up in Lawrenceville, GA and attended the University of Georgia, earning degrees in political science and international affairs. In Washington I interned in Chairman Reince Priebus’ office at the Republican National Committee. After graduation I accepted a position as a field representative for the Georgia Republican Party where I’ll be working with Republican grassroots efforts through November.

Why I went:

I eventually want to work in national politics, so going to DC offered a great networking opportunity for me.

Favorite spot to visit:

The Jefferson Memorial

Most memorable day:

When I attended an RNC reception after their winter meeting where I was able to talk college football with Mitch McConnell.

Why I'm glad I went:

It was a rewarding experience and led to my current job. My internship also offered a great networking experience with Republicans across the country.
