DC Semester Q and A

Sarah E. Norris
Spring 2012

D.C. is the perfect place to learn more, accumulate actual skills, and make connections.

Brief bio:

At UGA, I studied international affairs and Russian language. Since graduation, I enrolled in an MA program in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies at the Monterey Institute. For seven months of 2014, I will be in Russia on a Boren Fellowship.

Expected graduation:

May 2012

Degree objective:

IA & Russian

Why I went:

A semester in DC was essential before I graduate. Since I envision a profession in the nonproliferation and arms control field, D.C. is the perfect place to learn more, accumulate actual skills, and make connections.

Favorite spot to visit:

Any and all of the parks and green spaces. 16th and U Street Areas. Baked and Wired in Georgetown.

Most memorable day:

Why I'm glad I went:

Where I interned:
