Share your real-world experience and offer guidance to someone new to the field!
The Washington Semester invites all its alumni to participate in the program. Your experience gives you a unique perspective from which to provide guidance to current students who are new to DC, and there are several ways to get involved.
Serve as an Alumni Mentor
Each semester, the WSP pairs each student with a mentor who lives and works in the DC area. The program connects students and mentors with aligning interests and goals to maximize the utility of the experience. Mentors should get to know their student and serve as a resource as they begin their time in Washington. Create a mentor profile here to help our students live, learn, and intern in DC.
Be a Guest Lecturer
For students, the Washington Seminar course is a primary fixture of their time the program. The Seminar focuses on a variety of policy areas, and we like to feature guest speakers and lecturers for every possible seminar. If you have a perspective to share on policy, international affairs, national security, arts and culture, professional development, or any other issue relevant to WSP students, please reach out to us.
Attend our Events
Every semester, we host in-person and virtual events that may be open to alumni. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for updates.
Host an Event
Invite the Washington Semester Program students to an event of your own. We encourage students to attend all possible alumni events.
