A student’s internship is the centerpiece of their Washington Semester experience.

These employment experiences provide students with the opportunity to earn academic credit, develop professional skills, and connect to the Washington, DC professional network.

FAQ: Does WSP place students in internships?

No, students apply for internships that are connected to their individual professional goals.

FAQ: How does WSP support students through their internship search process?

Upon admission into the Washington Semester Program, students will receive an email from an internship coach who will help them craft their internship search strategy. Coaches also offer feedback on application materials and help students prepare for interviews if needed.

Before accepting an internship offer…

Students must verify that the internship meets the standards of both WSP and the student’s department or college.
