The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) is the military intelligence agency of the U.S. Navy. Established in 1882, it is the oldest member of the U.S. Intelligence Community. Its primary goals are providing real-time information about the development and activities of foreign navies, protecting maritime assets, monitoring and countering maritime threats, and providing technical and tactical support to the U.S. Navy and its partners.
