Katie Moebes is a senior interning in the Office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. On campus, she is a Cadet in the Army ROTC program, President of SPIA Student Union, undergraduate fellow in the Benson-Bertsch Center for International Trade and Security’s Security Leadership Program, and a member of the ninth cohort of the Public Affairs Professional Certificate in Applied Politics. She also previously interned in the district office for Congresswoman Lucy McBath and this past summer, she completed Cadet Summer Training at Fort Knox, then spent time at the Navy Postgraduate School in Monterey, California completing an internship with DTRA. She aspires to commission into the Army upon graduation as a Second Lieutenant. After the Army, she hopes to pursue her JD and continue a career of public service. A fun fact about Katie is that she has run 5 marathons!
