Liz Yancey is a junior interning at the Office of Senator Jon Ossoff. At UGA, Liz is involved in the organization, Project Red, whose mission is to provide free accessible menstrual products to students and staff across campus. Liz also published her study titled “The Impact of Limited Menstruation Education” in the Journal of Student Research, where she observed adolescents’ and adults’ experiences of learning about reproductive health in the classroom. After graduation, she aims to pursue a career that focuses on legislative work, campaign strategy, and governmental processes with a dedication to advancing gender policy reform. A fun fact about Liz is that she studied abroad at Oxford this summer!
