Thomas Hout
Fall 2025 Intern
Thomas Hout is a senior interning for Dentons International in their Regulatory, Public Policy, and Government Affairs group. On campus, he has served as an Editor for the Loch Johnson Society, been a member of the UGA Club Men’s Rowing Team, and participated in the Film Club and Ethics Club. He has also previously work at Birch Tree Communities Inc., a behavioral health non-profit, served as a Legal Extern at the U.S. District Court’s Eastern District of Arkansas, and served as a Policy Assistant at E&E Developmental Services of North Texas. He aspires to work on and advocate for healthcare access and to help tackle health disparities across communities all over the world. In particular, he hopes to push communities closer to a a reality where everyone has access to quality mental healthcare, and there are fewer socio-economic barriers to healthcare. A fun fact about Thomas is that his Great-Uncle, Carl Albert, served as the Speaker of the House for six years, including during the Watergate scandal. He was briefly second in line to the presidency just before Nixon resigned, and could have become president! He was a Representative for Oklahoma, and now has a statue at Oxford University!
